The Mohua 2042 Sustainability Strategy is a community-created roadmap for a thriving and resilient future in Golden Bay.
Developed in 2021-2022 through hui, workshops and online feedback, it reflects the voices, ideas and aspirations of people living across Golden Bay. Brought together by a passionate group of locals, later forming the core of the Mohua 2042 trust, the strategy weaves community knowledge with practical, forward-looking goals across interconnected areas of life - environmental, social, cultural, and economic. It is both a vision to inspire and a living document to guide action, offering clear pathways for individuals, groups and organisations to contribute to the wellbeing of Mohua/Golden Bay now and for generations to come.
